Synopsis
IDENTITY 2.0
It is said that when a frog crosses our path, this is the ideal opportunity for a transition, a profound change that transforms our essence.
The frog.
An animal capable of regenerating itself in different forms. An animal that faces more than one transition during its life. An animal that, it is said, stimulates commitment to a process of transformation. The animal symbol par excellence of metamorphosis.
The work presented is intended to put the audience in a position of alertness due to the succession of images, transpositions of emotions and intangible states of mind, which generate a sense of disorientation and prepare the spectator to become part of the transformation process at the centre of the scene.
In the dancer uniqueness and multiplicity merge: a single body, but countless forms that sometimes evoke the animal world and sometimes draw from a stereotyped humanity, a blurred reflection of individual experiences. The incessant dialogue between the two planes provokes the spectator by steering the scene towards the appearance of a hybrid being, new, half-human and half-animal. Constantly mutating, never the same, the being lets go of pieces of itself and discovers new ones, combining the known and the unknown to strengthen, regenerate and fortify itself in an endless cycle.
